RRB NTPC Recruitment 2025 – Mode of Selection

• Computer Based Test (CBT-1):
  This is the first stage of the examination where candidates are tested on general awareness, mathematics, reasoning, and general intelligence. The CBT-1 is qualifying in nature and filters candidates for the next stage.

• Computer Based Test (CBT-2):
  Candidates who clear CBT-1 are eligible for CBT-2. This stage is more advanced and assesses the candidate’s subject-specific knowledge depending on the post applied for.

• Skill Test / Typing Test / Aptitude Test:
  Certain posts require additional skill assessment. For example, Typing Test for clerical positions, Aptitude Test for traffic or station management roles, and other skill tests as per the job requirement.

• Document Verification (DV):
  Candidates who pass the above stages must provide original documents to verify their eligibility, educational qualifications, category, and other required certificates.

• Medical Examination:
  The final stage involves a medical fitness test to ensure that the candidate is physically and medically fit for the duties associated with the railway post.
