Join Territorial Army Officer 2025 Selection Process

Candidates whose application forms are found correct and who qualify for the online entrance exam will be called for the intelligence and personality test at the Service Selection Board (SSB). The selection process consists of a two-stage procedure, which includes the Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test. All candidates will undergo the stage one test on the first day of reporting at the Selection Centers. Only those who qualify in stage one will proceed to the second stage and the remaining tests, while those who fail to clear stage one will be sent back. Additionally, male and female candidates will be placed in separate merit lists based on the total marks obtained in both the online entrance exam and the SSB tests.

The written examination will consist of two parts:-

• 1: Reasoning will assess the candidate’s ability to complete sequences and draw logical conclusions based on simple patterns of numbers, statements, figures, letters, etc., as expected from a rational thinking individual without any specialized study of the subject. Part
• 2: Elementary Mathematics will include topics under Arithmetic, such as the Number System (Natural numbers, Integers, Rational and Real numbers), fundamental operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), square roots, decimal fractions, unitary method, time and distance, time and work, percentages, applications to simple and compound interest, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, variation, and elementary number theory. This also includes division algorithm, prime and composite numbers, tests of divisibility by 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, and 11, multiples and factors, factorisation theorem, HCF and LCM, Euclidean algorithm, logarithms to base 10, laws of logarithms, and the use of logarithmic tables.
• Algebra includes basic operations, simple factors, the Remainder Theorem, H.C.F., L.C.M., and the theory of polynomials. It covers the solutions of quadratic equations and the relation between their roots and coefficients (only real roots are to be considered). The syllabus also involves simultaneous linear equations in two unknowns, both analytical and graphical solutions, and simultaneous linear inequations in two variables along with their solutions. It also includes practical problems that lead to two simultaneous linear equations or inequations in two variables, or quadratic equations in one variable and their solutions. Additionally, topics such as set language and set notation, rational expressions and conditional identities, and laws of indices are also part of the syllabus.
• Trigonometry, covering sine x, cosine x, and tangent x for angles between 0° and 90°, values of sin x, cos x, and tan x for x = 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 90°, as well as simple trigonometric identities and the use of trigonometric tables, along with simple cases of heights and distances. In Geometry, topics include lines and angles, plane and plane figures, theorems on properties of angles at a point, parallel lines, sides and angles of a triangle, congruency and similarity of triangles, concurrence of medians and altitudes, properties of angles, sides and diagonals of a parallelogram, rectangle and square, and the circle and its properties including tangents and normal, and loci. Mensuration covers the areas of squares, rectangles, parallelograms, triangles, and circles, as well as surface area and volume of cuboids, lateral surface area and volume of right circular cones and cylinders, and surface area and volume of spheres. Statistics includes the collection and tabulation of statistical data, graphical representation (frequency polygons, histograms, bar charts, pie charts), and measures of central tendency.
• General Knowledge involves knowledge of current events and everyday observations in scientific aspects, as expected from an educated person without specialized study. It also includes the history of India, geography, and nature-based topics.
• English will assess the candidate’s understanding of the English language and their ability to use it in a workmanlike manner.

How to Download Join Territorial Army Officer Admit Card 2025

The Indian Army has released the Territorial Army Officer Admit Card 2025 for candidates appearing in the upcoming Territorial Army Commission Online Entrance Exam. A total of 19 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment process. All eligible and registered candidates can now download their admit cards online from the official website of the Indian Army, www.indianarmy.nic.in, starting from 17th July 2025. The admit card is a mandatory document for entry into the examination centre, and candidates are advised to check all details carefully, including exam date, time, and venue.
