Exam Instructions
General Information
- Purpose: The JNVST is a national-level entrance exam for admission to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas for the academic session 2026-27.
- Exam Dates:
- Phase 1: December 13, 2025, at 11:30 AM (Summer Bound).
- Phase 2: April 11, 2026, at 11:30 AM (Winter Bound, primarily for hilly areas).
- Mode of Exam: Offline (pen-and-paper based), with answers marked on an OMR sheet.
- Duration: 2 hours (11:30 AM to 1:30 PM). An additional 30 minutes is provided for Divyang (differently-abled) students.
- Total Marks: 100 marks, with 80 objective-type questions.
- Medium of Exam: Available in English, Hindi, and regional languages (candidates must choose the language at the time of application, and it cannot be changed later).
