Short Information: Samagra Shiksha, Chandigarh has released an official notification for the recruitment of 218 Junior Basic Teachers (JBT) on a contract basis for Primary Classes (I to V). The online application process starts from 07 August 2025 (11:00 AM) and ends on 28 August 2025 (5:00 PM) at ssachd.nic.in. The last date to pay the application fee is 30 August 2025 (2:00 PM).

Candidates must be graduates with a 2-year D.El.Ed., qualified in CTET Paper-I, and possess an ICT skill certificate. The monthly fixed salary is Rs. 45,260. Selection will be based on a 150-mark objective test—there will be no interview. Minimum qualifying marks are 40%.

Eligible candidates are advised to apply early through the official website. The recruitment is subject to category-wise reservation, including PWD and ESM quotas.

  • Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Qualifying Marks: 40% (for all categories)
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer
  • Questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi), except for language subjects

Merit List Preparation

  • Based on marks obtained in the written test only
  • No interview will be conducted.

  • Candidates 1.5 times the number of vacancies will be called for document checking.
